OHB Sweden contributes to ClearSpace-1 mission.

Lift-off at last: ESAIL successfully launched. OHB subsidiary LuxSpace’s satellite for global ship monitoring has reached its target orbit.

Ten years ago, on June 15th, 2010, the Swedish satellite mission Prisma was launched into orbit. OHB Sweden, a subsidiary of the space and technology group OHB SE, was the prime contractor for the project.

ESAIL, the first commercial microsatellite developed under ESA’s SAT-AIS program for tracking ships, has arrived at the European spaceport in Kourou, Guiana. It was built by Luxembourg-based company LuxSpace, a subsidiary of the German space and technology group OHB SE.

MT Mechatronics GmbH (MTM), the Mainz-based specialist in antenna and telescope equipment and a subsidiary of space technology group OHB SE, has now begun work on assembling the first test antenna for the realization of the Heinrich Hertz satellite communications mission.
